Let them know about www.World-SprintCar-Guide.com Wolfgang returns to Sprint Car racingNo, Sprint Car legend Doug Wolfgang isn’t making a come back, however his 16 year old son Robbie has decided to follow his father’s footsteps into Sprint Car racing. Robbie had is first drive in a 360 at I-90 Speedway on May 31, finishing 15th in the A-Main. Robbie also ran at Huset’s on June 1 where he improved on his previous night’s results finishing 12th. Robbie, who thought Sprint Cars were “boring” when he was younger, hadn’t even started a Sprint Car until a few weeks ago.Outlaws updateDonny Schatz and the Tony Stewart Racing team have hit the points lead in the Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series. Schatz, who by his standards has had a slow start to the championship, has now won 5 of the last 6 events, including wins at Attica, Eldora, Knoxville, Tri-City and Missouri State Fair Speedway. Early points leader Jason Meyers now trails Schatz by 37 points. Inclement weather has caused headaches for organizers of the WoO Sprint Series with 15 events now being postponed or canceled due to bad weather.The WoO next travel to Huset’s Speedway on June 13 and then on to Eagle Raceway on June 14. The event, which began in 1983, is one of the premier weeks on the All Star schedule with nearly 100 drivers competing over the seven nights of dirt track action. Lance Dewease currently leads the championship ahead of Dale Blaney and Randy Hannagan.This weekend the All Stats return to Central PA for a 3 day swing through Posse country to face some of the toughest local competition in the country. The first of the three stops will be at Williams Grove Speedway on Friday, June 13 followed by Lincoln Speedway on June 14. The series will wrap things up with a stop at Central PA Speedway on Sunday, June 15th in Clearfield, PA. After 13 rounds Wright holds a 38 point lead over Jason Johnson who has won four events to Wright’s single victory. The series kicks off again on June 20 after a long break with the series making its annual journey through the Midwest and Northern Plains. A full contingent of 13 full-time ASCoT competitors will take on the regional and local hotshoes when the series hits Knoxville Raceway on June 20, I-90 Speedway on June 24 and Dakota State Fair Speedway on June 28.The current ASCoT top 5 points are: Gary Wright (1549), Jason Johnson (1511), Wayne Johnson (1499), WSS release 08/09 scheduleSpeedway Promotions Australia have released a proposed calendar for the 08/09 World Series Sprintcars championship. The series will commence at Brisbane International Speedway on November 8 and conclude at Parramatta City Raceway on January 17. At this stage Australia's only national series will be held over 19 nights of racing.November 8 - Brisbane International Speedway, Archerfield Qld USAC National Sprint SeriesCole Whitt has taken the lead of the USAC National Sprint Series after winning at Big Diamond Raceway on June 5, followed by a second place behind 16 year old Chad Boat at Hagerstown Speedway on June 7. Whitt leads Levi Jones by 31 points with Jerry Coons Jr. 20 points behind Jones.
