There will be 25 hours of Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series and World of Outlaws Late Model Series action, featuring a combination of live and tape-delayed broadcasts beginning on May 23 with the three-hour Rite Aid Outlaw Showdown broadcast LIVE from The Dirt Track @ Lowe’s Motor Speedway.World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series 2008 TV schedule: May 23, 8-11 pm - Lowe’s Motor Speedway, Concord, NC June 8, 1-2 pm - Williams Grove Speedway, Mechanicsburg, PA July 6, 4-5 pm - Dodge City Raceway Park, Dodge City, KS Aug. 2, 4-5 pm - Ohsweken Speedway, Ohsweken, Ontario Sept. 27, 8-11 pm - Williams Grove Speedway, Mechanicsburg, PA Nov. 1, 8-11 pm - Lowe’s Motor Speedway, Concord, NC Outlaws updateThe Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series resumes at I-55 Raceway, MO on Saturday, April 5 after not having raced for over a month. Rain caused the cancellation of a two night show at Volunteer Speedway, TN on March 14 & 15. Bad weather also caused the cancellation of three other events in February. The series then moves on to Eldora Speedway, OH for a two night show on April 11 & 12.The current WoO top 5 points are: Craig Dollansky (593), Jason Meyers (591), Donny Schatz (572), All Stars hit AtticaThe O’Reilly All Star Circuit of Champions hits Attica Raceway Park on Friday, April 4. With the last two Friday nights having been either rained or snowed out at the venue, the event is now the opening night for the speedway. The All Stars then move on to Lernerville Speedway, PA on Friday, April 25.The current All Stars top 5 points are: Fred Rahmer (844), Lance Dewease (843), Chad Layton (774), Brag to the world about your Sprint Car team!All Sprint Car Racing fans have heard of Tony Stewart Racing and Donny Schatz Motorsports, however Sprint Brag gives lesser known Sprint Car teams a chance to promote themselves. Creating a page is simple, just click here.Wright leads ASCoT SeriesFour-time series champion Gary Wright leads the American Sprint Cars on Tour national series points standings after seven rounds. At the last round, held at State Fair Speedway, OK, Jason Johnson held off Danny Lasoski and Wright to win the Spring Nationals. The win was Johnson's 30th career ASCS National Tour feature win.The current ASCoT top 5 points are: Gary Wright (723), Wayne Johnson (677), Jason Johnson (645), Australian Title AbandonedThe 2008 Australian Sprintcar Title was abandoned on Saturday, March 29 after heavy showers once again ruined any chance of the event taking place. Originally scheduled to be run on January 31, February 1 & 2 at Tyrepower Parramatta City Raceway, persistent rain caused havoc when only time trials were completed on the first night. Showers the next morning caused the second night to be canceled. The rain held off for the third night with all sixteen heat races from the previous two nights completed. The scrambles and feature races were to be held on Sunday, February 3, however more rain once again caused the Title to be postponed to March 29.The top five in points after the qualifying heats were: 1. Garry Brazier (84), 2. Ken Sartori (83.5), 3. Adrian Maher (82.5), 4. Kerry Madsen (81.5), 5. Ian Louden (81).
Eldora to host USAC National Sprint Series openerThe opening round of the USAC National Sprint Series is set for Saturday, April 5 at Eldora Speedway, OH. This year’s series is set to be contested over 35 nights, concluding at Manzanita Speedway, AZ on November 8. Since taking out the Outlaws Downunder event on Sunday, January 20, Farr and the East Coast Pipeline Team have notched up wins at the following events:Jan 25 – Kings Challenge, Borderline Speedway, SA Aussie Easter TrailThe annual Easter Trail is a tradition of Australian Sprint Car Racing, regularly attracting fields of over 50 cars to the three night event. Kicking off at Avalon Raceway, VIC on Friday, March 21 the trail then headed to South Australia's Borderline Speedway for round 2 on Saturday, March 22 and then on to the finale at Premier Speedway, VIC on Sunday, March 23. Queensland's Danny Reidy scored the round 1 win while James McFadden took round 2 honours.
