The top 5 points placings are: Joey Saldana (1880), Donny Schatz (1876), Daryn Pittman (1776), Danny Lasoski (1722), Craig Dollansky (1708)
Up-coming rounds of the WoO Sprint Series are:
April 20 - Attica Raceway Park, Attica, Ohio
Freezing Temperatures Create HavocRecent freezing conditions across the Midwest and Northeast of the US have caused the cancellation of numerous events. The opening weekend of USAC’s National Sprint Car series on April 14 & 15 at Indiana’s Twin Cities Raceway Park & Anderson Speedway were both cancelled as were the WoO events at Eldora Speedway (Ohio) on April 14 and I-55 Raceway (Missouri) on April 7.
Also to fall victim to the conditions were the April 6 & 7 All Star shows at Attica Raceway Park (Ohio), scheduled meetings at Williams Grove (Pennsylvania), Port Royal (Pennsylvania), Sedalia (Missouri), Wayne County Speedway (Ohio), Limaland Motorsports Park (Ohio), Heart O' Texas Speedway (Texas) and Mercer Raceway Park (Pennsylvania).
On April 7 a practice at Eldora Speedway was cancelled after crews cleared the track of nearly one inch of snow Saturday morning, only to find the clay oval completely frozen.
New Direction for World Series SprintcarsAustralia’s premier Sprint Car series, World Series Sprintcars, heads into a new era after the National Association of Speedway Racing (NASR) announced the decision to award the licence to Speedway Promotions Australia (SPA). The SPA is a consortium of six tracks including Kwinana, Speedway City, Premier Speedway, Latrobe Speedway, TPCR and BIS.
The SPA will take over from Wade Aunger of AA Motorsports who has successfully promoted the series for the past six years.
